WE’RE HERE TO HELP

The Pink Cloud Connect works to ease the stress of early recovery so people can focus on healing. This page is aimed to give those searching for help a good starting point.

INFO TO PROVIDE When searching for A BED

When calling around to check for a bed for ourselves or a loved one, expect to be asked the following questions by intake clinicians-

  • substances used (type, benzos, opioids, alcohol, etc)

  • amount of substances used

  • time substances were last used/ amount in system currently

  • frequency of use up to this point

  • medical history, specifically if history of seizures

  • insurance information, if any

These questions can be frustrating when we are in a time crunch, but this information is essential to getting proper treatment. Having this information readily available will speed along the intake process. Try to aim for 7:30am when calling to check status of beds as they will have the best idea once the night shift is over, and they are able to see who is discharging that day.

Useful terms when SEEKING help

detox (ACUTE TREATMENT SERVICES, ats)

Detox is necessary for many in active use to safely come off their drug of choice (DOC). Detox is meant to monitor withdrawal symptoms while riding our bodies of any toxic substances.

rehab (Clinical STABILIZATION SERVICES, CSS)

Someone leaving detox will most likely be referred to CSS to continue the recovery journey. CSS is essential to a lot of recovery stories, but there are other options if this does not fit economically at the time. When calling for beds, most times we will find ourselves on a waiting list. Please use this list of resources as a starting point but reach out at any time for guidance or assistance finding a bed.

SOBER LIVING (sober house)

The sober living community is a great place to stay sober. Sober Living provides the community aspect of recovery while maintaining guidelines and rules for its’ members to follow. These rules and community engagement help those in early recovery continue on in their journey while adapting to “regular life”.

PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAMS (PHP)

Partial programs are offered by most rehabilitation facilities and allow for those in need to come for half day sessions. These sessions usually include therapy, counseling, and group classes.

Intensive outpatient programs (iop)

There are intensive outpatient programs which allow for those in need to go into a rehabilitation facility and participate in classes, group therapy, individualized therapy, etc. The specifics depend on the program, but most involve randomized or scheduled drug screenings to enforce sobriety.

AFTERCARE

(can be in the form of PHP, IOP, Community programs, sober living, recovery coaching, etc)

When leaving any type of inpatient program, we must be sure to line up aftercare services. These services can be anything from utilizing an app to going to free community recovery meetings to joining an online recovery work out class. Aftercare is also found in counseling, mentorship, and through wellness practices. The options are endless, but aftercare is essential to maintaining recovery.

meetings, 12 step programs, AND FELLOWSHIP

While rehabilitation is always recommended, there are endless amounts of people out there who have gotten sober through community resources. While AA does the trick for countless people, others have found help in apps and a variety of other resources. Please utilize these resources and the people who are a part of these communities as helpers in recovery.
