Chelmsford’s Annual 4th of July Parade

July 4, 2022 - Chelmsford, MA

PURPOSE of pcc presence

Our presence at the parade was to create social change while promoting and educating people on free local resources available within our community. This was in hopes of helping people not feel so alone, break stigmas, open lines of communication for questions and conversations. Goal is to inspire people, give hope, and break stigmas within our community to help ease the acceptance of help. Our presence alone shows people recovery is possible.

2022’s parade was the first event The Pink Cloud Connect jumped into after forming weeks prior. Founder, Brittany Ginsburg, got the OK from the town the night prior and threw it together with her fast acting friends and family. The team handed out candy, squirted the crowd with squirt guns, and handed out flyers promoting the Chelmsford Health Department’s new mental health resource, Care Solace.

This was the first ever recovery/ mental health based “float” in the parade. PCC is looking forward to seeing the growth of our float as our non profit grows. We appreciate everyone in our community for so openly accepting us and supporting us.

It was an amazing day that left us feeling hopeful for a successful event next year. The community was beyond grateful and welcoming of this seemingly odd float to have on 4th of July in the suburbs of Chelmsford. With tax exemption, we would be able to accept donations to fund events like these, allowing us to inspire others and promote hope, resulting in more lives being saved.

Together we can make a change.
